Nails for the week

It's been a while since I've done some nail art, they've just been painted one colour recently. But, yesterday, I found the time to be creative. And this was the result. Not my best I know, but it'll do ^o^

Rose Bud Nail Tutorial - Easy

Just a quick easy tutorial for beginners~ I did this in a rush, so it looks a bit messy but take it slower and you'll get a better result. detail is key.

For this you will need:
+ Clear Nail Varnish for top and bottom coats.
+ Pale Pink Nail Varnish (I used Eyeko's Petite Polish)
+ Dark Pink Nail Varnish (I used Rimmel's Hot Shot)
+ Pale Green Nail Varnish (I used a George at Asda green)
+ A Thin Paintbrush (Or a cocktail stick'll do)

1- First paint your nails with a clear bottom coat.

2- When dry paint your nails with the light pink. About 2 - 3 coats should be fine.

3- Now grab your paintbrush (or cocktail stick) and dip it into the pink. Paint curved moon shapes randomly on the nail.
4- Paint a smaller, almost dot shape, inside each of the moons. Be careful not to make the two parts touch, or it will just look like a blob. lol They should look a bit like rose buds now.
5- Switch to the pale green now and paint leaves either side of each bud.

6- When dry, finish off by applying a top coat.
I only did the pattern on two nails, but you can do it on as many as you like. It would probably look awesome if every nail was done like it ^o^
I hope you like it! If you decide to try it out, please send me a link to your photos, or post it in a comment ^^

Sweet Shop nails

Just something simple for the weather. These are the sweet nail stickers that my friend got me from Hong Kong. I spoke about them a few posts back. I added some flowers from the bunch I got from Hong Kong a few years ago :D Im suprised they still stick after all this time.

I bought this nail varnish in London. I like it, it's just a light shimmer of gold. It's from INGLOT, number XL2. Cost me £7 straight from the store. Not too bad of a price to be honest, but a fortune compared to the ones I get from Asda.

Here's my hair for today. I tried tying a neck scarf on my head, but it looks a bit strange on one side because it's flat there. But I'll find a way to make it stick up more. I need to get hold of some ribbon so I can make some bows for my hair. Maybe an oversized one or two.
Ignore my face in the picture lol. I didn't have any makeup on. at all. I'm going to try doing some Gal make with my lenses. Around... 1.30pm ish, cause then my lenses wont get irritating until I get home from work.

I did my friend's nails.

She wanted a design we saw in a Nail Venus issue a while back, but with different colours.

We decided on a girly pastel arrangement lol. Anyways, here's my attempt at copying it.

Not really the best I've done, but she liked them nonetheless. We were also in a rush that day because we were late meeting others for lunch lol.

Leaving for our road trip in a few hours :D Can't wait ^o^

I'm going to be taking loads of video footage of our time in London and of the journey. I'll be using it to make a vlog for my friend dru, But i'll show you guys too~

Friends are amazing!

One of my friends from work went to Hong Kong for a few weeks (I am insanely jealous of this!), by the sounds of it she did soo much and had a fantastic time. She then went on the Bangkok and other places i think. But while she was in Hong Kong she visited a shop or stall or something that sold nails and deco stuff. She came back on Saturday and brought me some bits back ^o^ she's amazing! :D I was soo happy when she gave them to me, she knows what I'm like with my nails haha.
These stickers are soo cute ^o^

She also got me some 3D flowers, which i pretty much freaked out about cause I've wanted proper Japanese style 3D nail deco for ages!! lol The only problem is.. I'm not sure how to fix them on, I don't really want to use nail glue because they'll be going straight on to my own nails. And I don't think clear nail varnish alone will hold them in place.

This girl is amazing!! I've still got to make her an usamimi, I shall do that on Sunday or Monday. My day's off from work.
BTW: I posted some new photos of the different nail designs I've done on the right there -->
Lemme know what you think of them.

Japanese style gyaru nails - Bubz inspired

For this weeks nails I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't really want to do England nails for the world cup, because that's soo typical. Bubzbeauty over on youtube uploaded a nail tutorial today and I thought it looked cute, so I thought i'd try it out. I have loads of 3d nail stickers from the load I bought from Hong Kong last year, so instead of using the stars and hearts like Bubz used, I used them instead. Pretty much the same concept. Here's the result:

It was hard to get the stickers to stay down in places. The yellow flowers didn't bend very well so I had to use a lot of clear varnish. I'm really worried that I'm going to knock them and rip them off or something.

You should look for Bubzbeauty on youtube. She's amazing. I've been subscribed to her videos for soo long. She makes the best tutorials, especially for hair styles and make up. I love the hair styles she does. I've learnt soo much from watching her videos. Go check her out.

Anyway, this is a short post cause i'm watching True Blood :P Vampires = <3>
