Back to Gyaru

So, i'm going to Japan in a few months, staying there for a whole year ^o^ I just know that as soon as I get there i'm going to be Gyaru again (I stopped for a while during my time at University due to money and lack of gyaru - style stuff)

Anyways, i've been practising my make up and trying to get it into a daily routine, here's the photo from yesterday. Hope you like the doodles on it ^^

Final hair (was a while ago now though)

Here's what my hair looked like when I finally got all of the blonde done.

Trying not to laugh in that last one :)

As you can see I haven't been wearing Gyaru make up recently. I'm out of practice, it's been a while since i've been gyaru at all. I've just faded out of it, but i'm on my way back guys, don't you worry.

My hair's kinda growing out at the moment. I really need to get it done again, I hate my ginger roots lol I literally have no money at the moment, so it'll have to wait for a bit.

I'm going to plan some blogs to do so that I don't fade off the radar again. I've missed you all~

New Hair

I had my hair highlighted, so now it's less orange and more blonde. I'm going to have more blonde put through it on Thursday, which should look good ^o^

I need to get my make up sorted out, as i've sort of drifted away from the Gyaru style I was and now i'm trying to incorporate it with a rock-ier edge. Dark makeup, black clothes etc.

I have a tonne of new buys over the past few weeks while I've been home. I'll take photos and show you ^o^

I may be giving the blog a make over at some point too~

Home and new hair

Hey guys, long time no speak :)

I'm at home now, so i have more time to experiment with my gyaru style~

I've decided to give my hair a makeover over this Xmas. I'm going BLONDE,
yes... BLONDE. *(i soo totally typed blind then :O whoops)*

Photos shall be up when i've had it done. I'm going to wait until after Xmas, so then i'll have money and I can buy new clothes too.

Thanks to University i've lost weight, plus my hair is really long :D

Everything a Western Gyaru Needs: My Top 5 Shopping Websites

Japan Centre - Whats a gal without inspiration lol The Japan Centre is basically my hub for Japanese goods. They have many magazines, loads of Gyaru ones. The prices are a little bit high but totally worth it :D I always spend a fortune with them. They also sell food, snacks, drinks, books, manga, study materials, gifts and home goods. I highly recommend you visit the site and see their vast collection for yourself~

Tokyo Toys - This is where I buy my circle lenses. They're reliable and affordable. Fast delivery too~ They have an actual shop in London, so if you're ever around Piccadilly Circus, head into the Trocadero Shopping Center on Coventry street. They sell loads of anime and manga goods as well as Japanese sweets and cosplay goods.

Uniqlo - I love Uniqlo clothing! A lot of their stuff is plain block colours so it's good for accessorising. They also do seperate collections for Disney, Hinano Yoshikawa, Metal Gear Solid etc. Their prices are fairly cheap but the quality is amazing!

Eyeko - Make up etc. They have a great pen eyeliner, big eyes mascara which I mentioned in a previous post. Their nail varnishes are of good quality and don't chip easily. Some items you can get cheaper elsewhere but eyeko's pakaging is sooo cute~ They always have offers and free gifts if you spend over £10.

Artbox - They sell cute things to decorate rooms, cushions, stickers, stationery etc. I love buying from them, their designs are adorable with pandas, hearts, bows and many others. The prices are cheap and they have soo much stuff. They came in very handy for me going off to uni. As I've showed you here, i've bought a lot of things from them for University. I've done about 3 orders with them so far, usually around 10 items a time. The delivery is super fast, and you can choose 2 different delievery types. fast or super fast lol.

Shibuya 109 - SBY

From now on i'm going to post photos from random shops in Shibuya109, to give you an idea about what they're selling at the moment, the current trends etc. I'll try and include some information and i'll link you to the websites.

I'm starting with SBY, as I myself have an SBY hair scrunchie, which I love!

Here's what the store looks like. They have stores elsewhere but this one is cute!

Love this bag soo much! It has a blue bit on the inside that ties up to keep everything inside the bag.

Cute necklaces.

Lower lashes!!! I really need some, but I don't know where to get some in the UK.

Pajamas / Lounge wear.

And here is the SBY scrunchie I have. It came free with a Ranzuki magazine I got a good few months ago.

Here's the site: SBY
The 109 shop is on the 8th Floor by the toilets (If your interested, or in Japan)

LizLisa - Tralala is Cute!!

I simply cannot wait until I'm in Japan. I'm goint to end up spending soo much money, especially on clothes (If i can be down to a decent size by then)

I am completely in love with LizLisa's Tralala brand. It's just unbelievably ADORABLE! ^o^
This t-shirt is soo cute ^^ It's got like a gradient colour on it, changes from green around the bottom, up to pink around the shoulders and neck. I also want that usamimi~ I saw some in Camden market a few weeks ago, but unfortunately I didn't get them. There wasn't a mirror about ToT

I've always wanted a pair of dungarees, especially the 'shorts' ones~ They'd probably look really weird on me with my milkbottle white legs hehe. More so if it was a pair like the ones in the above photo. Very pale denim. The t-shirt is pretty cute, I've seen necklaces like that everywhere, especially in Asda. They have a bigger range of jewellery now ^o^ which is awesome!

I want pink shoes lol.

Straw Handbag and Straw Hat

I want it! lol

It's adorable~

They are soo popular at the moment, but I haven't been looking out for them. Haven't really gone shopping recently to be honest. I've just been using the internet to buy things for University. ☆

I'm on the look out for a straw hat too, the flat topped ones. Boaters I think they're called.

Anyone know where I could get either of these from, preferablly in the UK?? \(^□^*) /

My attempt at Gyaru Make up~

I've never done the whole circle lenses, eyeliner + lashes thing before, so I decided to have a go at it. Being as I've got nothing much to do today and wanted to have a go at it ^o^

What do you think?

I took photos of each step of make, so i might post like a photo tutorial thing if any of you are interested. I actually quite like the last photo lol. First time I've managed to put my hair in a high bun without it falling out. Used my SBYxRanzuki hairband ^o^

The trouble with me and Gal

I'm finding it hard to try and stay Gal, if you know what I mean. It's difficult to get it right in the first place, then there's the whole keeping it going and up to date. With things like work and stuff it's near impossible to do.

Another issue is also weight, I'm not exactly skinny and sometimes it's hard to find cute clothes that suit my figure, I know there are other Gals out there that aren't your typical skinny, and my hat goes off to them cause I just can't seem to keep it up. These girls are an inspiration. I won't deny that I want to be skinny, but in order to work it off i need time... Which i don't have at the moment. I'm working like crazy. Another reason why I can't keep up the Gal style very well.

I've pretty much stopped doing my own nails recently, they just get damaged and chipped as soon as I get to work. I still like to curl my hair for work sometimes, just like i did yesterday. And add bows, usamimis etc. But it's still not quite enough. I need to properly learn how to do some of the Gal make that other gaijin gals do~ I don't wear my circle lenses really, I think thats mainly because i got the black ones because Tokyo Toys didn't have the colour I wanted in stock. But also, my shifts are longer than the recommended wearing time. I'm going to try wearing them at work today, maybe give myself a lil gal makeover so I can learn some make tricks.

Shopping is a problem too~ Well didn't seem like it while I was in London haha. Nevertheless, I have trouble trying to pick the right sort of stuff. I'm not good with coordinating, I used to be but now i've just lost the ability thanks to wearing
the same colour everyday for my uniform at work haha. I need to study a few magazines. Might get the ViVi's out :D

I want to get a straw hat, one of those flat ones that are seen on many gal models. I had a look in London while I was there, but I had no luck in finding one.

I need more inspiration and more drive to boost up my Gal stuff =(

Going away and Gyaru Make Up

As i've been working loads recently I haven't had the chance to try my lashes with my circle lenses yet. But hopefully, my day off on Friday, I will try it and take photos. I'll flick through Popteen and Ranzuki and perhaps do a little tutorial from one of the looks in there.

I decided to go for a plain nail colour this week. The pink that I showed you a few posts back ^o^ The great thing is that I also have an eyeshadow that matches, so I've been pretty much using the same colour eye make up for a week~ heh. I was going to try an 'Up' design, like the ones I've seen on Tumblr. I've flicked through my j-mags too~ but they are either too time consuming or too plain. Guess I'll have to come up with a new idea somehow~ Any inspiration would be highly appreciated.

Me and my brother are going on a bit of a road trip in the next few weeks and we plan on going to London at some point. I'm hoping to go to Camden so I can buy lil gyaru style things, as I've heard they have 3d nail stuffs and some really cute places. I want to go to artbox too, see what the shop is like in person rather than buying off their website. We should be heading to Uniqlo too, which makes me VERY happy.

Expect many photos from our travels~ =D

2nd July Outfit

This is my outfit from today. Yes, I'm wearing that bloody denim shirt again haha, I went to buy a new, shorter one today. But unfortunately I couldn't find a nice one. The only one I found, that was in Matalan, was really pale and long sleeved. Not good for the weather we have at the moment, and my clumsyness for making things dirty haha.

Here's a close up of the flowers on my dress. I got this dress in Primark and I love it soo much. It's light and cute ^o^

My Outfit from yesterday.

For college I decided to try and wear a gyaru style outfit. Not sure if I acheived this, but I get props for trying haha. I don't usually wear dresses without wearing leggings underneath, I'm not really a fan of my legs. They are chubby and VERY pale, but I'm losing more and more weight recently so I've become a bit less self consious about them.

In the photo above, I didn't really get round to doing the Gyaru make until after, but unfortunately I forgot to take another photo. The photo below was the outfit I wore. I have brown heels on, but they didn't get into the shot. I took the photo at an angle, so when I edited it to get it straight the corners were weird lol Just ignore that. I have no make on in the full shot haha. So what do you think? Is it Gyaru?
