My Outfit from yesterday.

For college I decided to try and wear a gyaru style outfit. Not sure if I acheived this, but I get props for trying haha. I don't usually wear dresses without wearing leggings underneath, I'm not really a fan of my legs. They are chubby and VERY pale, but I'm losing more and more weight recently so I've become a bit less self consious about them.

In the photo above, I didn't really get round to doing the Gyaru make until after, but unfortunately I forgot to take another photo. The photo below was the outfit I wore. I have brown heels on, but they didn't get into the shot. I took the photo at an angle, so when I edited it to get it straight the corners were weird lol Just ignore that. I have no make on in the full shot haha. So what do you think? Is it Gyaru?

Bag Charm from Seventeen Magazine

I got this back in February, but I've only just started using it. It came with March's issue of Seventeen Magazine. (The Japanese version) It's a Mickey and Minne Big Charm, as it says on the packet haha. I love buying magazines from The Japan Centre and finding they have free gifts. Makes up for the price I have to pay for them haha.

Here's what it looks like actually on a bag. I love this pink bag, got it from a small independant shop called CherryLee in my local town centre. It sells lots of little bits from jewellery to make up. A lot of the stuff is from Japan, China and Korea (I know because of the writing on the packets ^o^) Anyway, I'm completely in LOVE with this bag and I wear it everywhere lol.

Yes that's me with the bag under my arm haha The charm is soo cute ^o^ and I think it goes with the bag quite well. Right now i'm off to watch the football, hopefully we'll have a good game.
COME ON ENGLAND!!!

Nails for this weekend - Idea

Right, so i'm going out this weekend for a few friends birthdays and figured I should theme my nails around the top I'm going to wear. This is the top I bought Click Here .

I'm going to paint my nails white I think and have a big butterfly on my middle fingers and smaller ones on the other nails, with some flowers. I'll hopefully do them in those colours, if i have them haha. I will post up a photo when I've done them. oooo, haha I love it when I base my nails on some clothing or accessory I have. It lets me be more creative rather than looking at other peoples designs and adapting them.

I've got a mini review coming up soon on some new 17 eyeshadow that I bought the other week. I'm completely in love with the colours at the moment haha.

I should go back to my Japanese homework. Might post again later ^o^

Smaller Version of the Gyaru Bunny Headband (Mini tutorial)

I'm finding the full headband I made to be a bit annoying at times, so after seeing smaller ones around, I decided to make a new one.

It's the same concept, just in a smaller version. I had to hand stitch the whole of this one, because I forgot how to use my mum's sewing machine lol

Mini How to-
1. Cut material to length. It doesn't really matter how long. Mine was about 20cm long i think.
2. Cut the ends so they are pointed.
3. Fold inside out and sew along all the edges except one of the points.
4. Turn inside out.
5. Place wire inside, it should be almost the same length or a little shorter. I used padded garden wire. It helped to keep the fabric from touching inside.
6. Sew up the open point.
7. Wrap around a plain hairband (alice band) and bend to style.

Voila ^o^ Mine looked like this:

I was halfway through doing my make up lol. I'll do a proper youtube tutorial for it when I have time. Same for the full headband too.

Deko Deko

Ages ago I got a Japanese deko set with some stickers I bought (stickers which I think I lost... I will have to try and find them haha there were some pretty cute ones on the sheet). I really only decided to use them about a month ago. My E71 was looking too much like a business mobile, and I needed to bling it up haha make it more girly.

The gems have self adhesive backs and just stick with a bit of pressure. It took me quite a while to get all of them to stay stuck, a few kept coming off. On the sheet there were rows of hearts and a big flower. I put those on first then decided to pull apart the other sets to fill in all the gaps. I made a little bow tie shape with two of the hearts at the bottom. Those two kept falling off to begin with, but after time and a lot of pressure they've stayed.

That's my big fluffy phone charm I got in China Town, London. It's really soft ^o^ I love it. I attached a Hello Kitty charm to it, so now it makes loads of noise haha. I always put it in a phone shaped pocket in one of my shoulder bags and people can hear me coming from a mile away haha
A few of the gems have fallen off now, but I'm really happy with it ^o^ It looks good and that's the main thing. I put one of the left over hearts on the front of the phone too, so now it has an all round cuteness haha. I was considering putting some on my digital camera, but I think I'll leave that for when I get more kits. Maybe when I go to Japan.

Bunny Head Band - Results.

So I finally managed to make one of those head bands I was talking about in a previous post. I got up early and drove me and my brother down to Dunelm Mill to buy fabric. I got 2 different styles, but they could be used 4 ways. One's blue and on the other side it's a denim sort of colour. And the other is beige with green and purple circles. Other side is the same, but faded. It's quite cute ^o^ We also went to B&Q where I got some foam coated wire to put inside the head band.

I decided to make one from the denim side of the blue, mainly because I was wearing a denim dress that day. I used a tutorial I found on the internet. Well based what I did on it. I ended up getting my mum to help use the sewing machine, cause I was too lazy to stitch it by hand. Here's the tutorial i used:
Making a Bunny Scarf...

This is what mine ended up looking like. I should have made it longer to be honest, so it would look like a floppy bow when i folded the pointy bits down. Unfortunately, because of the way it was sown, I had to close one side by sowing it up on the outside. It looks a bit weird, but all in all i'm kinda proud of it. I plan on making some more in the future, but I don't have the time at the moment what with work and my college class on Tuesdays. I've got to make one for a friend sometime this week too~ Here's it on my head lol

No make up day haha. I like my hair in french plaits, I couldn't do it before, but now my hair is long enough ^o^

Anyways, just want to say. Don't be scared to be creative ^o^ If you can't get something locally try making it yourself. That's what I did and I'm glad with the end result.

Japanese style gyaru nails - Bubz inspired

For this weeks nails I wasn't sure what to do. I didn't really want to do England nails for the world cup, because that's soo typical. Bubzbeauty over on youtube uploaded a nail tutorial today and I thought it looked cute, so I thought i'd try it out. I have loads of 3d nail stickers from the load I bought from Hong Kong last year, so instead of using the stars and hearts like Bubz used, I used them instead. Pretty much the same concept. Here's the result:

It was hard to get the stickers to stay down in places. The yellow flowers didn't bend very well so I had to use a lot of clear varnish. I'm really worried that I'm going to knock them and rip them off or something.

You should look for Bubzbeauty on youtube. She's amazing. I've been subscribed to her videos for soo long. She makes the best tutorials, especially for hair styles and make up. I love the hair styles she does. I've learnt soo much from watching her videos. Go check her out.

Anyway, this is a short post cause i'm watching True Blood :P Vampires = <3>

Creative Buzz

Right, so here I am blogging, eating my morning banana and watching Tokyo Fashion Express. I love this show soo much. One of the easiest ways to keep up to date with j-fashion. Which can be quite expensive overseas, if you buy j-magazines of course. There are many websites out there that help, but they show many different styles and it looks as if you can wear ANYTHING haha

Yesterday I bought loads of material and wire to make some j-style accessories. Especially this style of head band.

Picture from LizLisa Website

I haven't found anywhere in the UK so far that sell them. So i'm going to go one better and make it myself. I'm also going to make little ones that I can wrap around a normal thin head band. I'm soo excited to see how it goes. I bought A LOT of fabric though, I'll have to think of some other things I can make with it haha

Also yesterday, while me and my brother were looking around for fabric, wire etc, we went to Tesco where I bought some soft toys. They are soo cute. I just had to get the Hello Kitty one. But Cleo (the lemur) was adorable! I had to get both. Aren't they cute?!

I got a Pingu one last week, he makes me laugh. When you squeeze his tummy, he makes loads of noise haha, I'll have to record it at some point lol.

Right, I need another banana. Or a green tea. laters x

Poupee Girl

Right. So I'm just a little bit addicted to Poupee Girl at the moment. It's a Japanese fashion website which is linked with ameba. When you sign up you get your own person. I think it's only female virtual figures, I don't remember seeing male ones. You can dress your person in various clothing which can be won on the Piyo Catcher. You can also obtain new clothing items, either by using ribbons that you gain through out the site. Or from uploading your own fashion photos.

It's basically a site where you can show off the clothes you have to other users, and dress your own person up :) It's got a really cute thing going on. This is my poupee girl at the moment:

That's her in her room, you can change the wallpaper by buying new ones with the ribbons you gain. At first you start out at a zoo, but after a while you gain the bedroom scene. The little bird in the background is Piyo. You can use him to get items in Piyo Catcher and Piyo Balloon. I love using Piyo Balloon. It's always a suprise as to what you get. This is Piyo Balloon:

In this game you pretty much have to avoid the balloons, which can get pretty difficult. It costs 30 Ribbons to play and you always win something. You win things by hitting the balloons, but you only get one chance. So it's always best to try and get as high as you can. Here's something I won while playing:

Not the most glamourous of items, but i didn't get very high up :P Just hit a balloon so I could take a screenshot lol.

Anyways, back to the rest of the site. You can customize your person's look and you get ribbons for doing so. You can add your favourite brands to your page, so you can be updated with new items from those brands that other people have uploaded. There's more than just that though. You can look at other peoples Poupee Girls, you can leave them comments, on those and on the photos of the clothing they have uploaded. There's also a forum, so you can chat with others about clothing, make up etc, you can even just have a chat :)

If you fancy checking it out, or signing up, here's the link. Just click on the button.

Hello Kitty in Sainsburys

Has anyone else noticed the amount of Hello Kitty stuff in supermarkets at the moment? I mean wow. I'm a huge Hello Kitty fan, so this makes me happy! ^o^

Asda's doing Hello Kitty clothing, Sainsbury has a whole range of things too.
I bought loads of their Hello Kitty easter eggs a while ago. And they all came with little extras.

My favourite was the medium sized egg that came with the mug. I love the mug, it's really cute.

Photobucket

Photobucket

My second wasn't actually an egg, but it was cute nonetheless. It was in a plastic egg about the size of my palm. It was a little Hello Kitty tin, and inside that was a small charm. There were about 6 to choose from, but i wanted the green / blue one hehe ^o^

Photobucket

Photobucket

They have these little Kinder egg style ones too~ They have little Hello Kitty figures in them. I used to buy them everytime I went to Sainsburys. I haven't been in a while, so i'm not sure whether or not they still do them. I may have to go check it out and see, because I really want to collect more! There are 24 to get, so you can see I have a long way to go haha.

Photobucket

I did also buy the egg cup, just so I could have a cute one for University. But It wasn't the kind of quality I was hoping for. It's very plastic. And it doesn't really hold the egg properly. Could just be me, but i don't know.

My GEO Circle Lenses – Black

I bought these a few months back, and I thought they were worth blogging about. ^o^

So anyways, I’ve wanted a pair of circle lenses for like over a year! And jumped at the chance of buying some when I heard that TokyoToys started selling them. I looked at websites that sold them, but like all non mainstrem sites, I didn’t feel confident to buy them. Unknown website and all…. But I’ve bought stuff from TokyoToys before, so I was very very very happy :D

I wanted to get the Grey ones, but unfortunately they were out of stock. I settled for black ones :P I’m going to have to get the gold / brown ones next time. They are really cool. They came in little pots like this.

Haha makes my hands look wrinkley. Anyway, they came in these pots with instructions for use and warnings etc. I bought some contact lense solution from Tesco (good ol’ Tesco!) which was pretty inexpensive tbh. It took me soo long to put them in the first time, but that was mainly because I’d never put contacts in before. They are really comfortable to wear, I’m defo going to buy more.

They are designed to make your eyes look bigger, and the colour only covers the outline of the iris. The colour bit is also bigger than what the iris is. Making them appear bigger :D Circle lenses are very popular in East Asian countries, especially Korea.

Here’s a bit of me all dolled up with them in. :P What do you think?

Haha my sexy nails too :P
