Straw Handbag and Straw Hat

I want it! lol

It's adorable~

They are soo popular at the moment, but I haven't been looking out for them. Haven't really gone shopping recently to be honest. I've just been using the internet to buy things for University. ☆

I'm on the look out for a straw hat too, the flat topped ones. Boaters I think they're called.

Anyone know where I could get either of these from, preferablly in the UK?? \(^□^*) /

17 Candy Collection Eyeshadow Trio - Dolly Mixture

I really like this eyeshadow trio, it's always in my make up bag. I bought it on a whim because I liked the bright colours. My usual eyeshadows are all dark or plain colours rather than something that goes POW! lol ●~*

The colours are divided into thirds, and they are fairly large. Easy to use with an eyeshadow brush, but big enough to use your finger if you don't have a brush. It's not much different to any other eyeshadow to be honest, just nice colours. I like wearing the yellow one the most because it goes well with the blonde streaks I have in my hair~~☆

This is what it looks like on the skin. I couldn't get a decent photo of the eyeshadow actually on my eyes, so this'll do for now. sorry~ m(_ _)m ゴメンナサイ

Quick tip: if you want the colour to stand out more and look really bright, use your finger to apply. Wet your finger beforehand and it'll make the colour look thicker. Works really well with the yellow.*:--☆--:*

Vlogs

( ゚▽゚)/コンバンハ!!

I've been making vlogs for my friend in America, dru. I haven't seen her in 3 years now and it's our way of keeping our friendship solid ^^ Plus it's nice to see how she is and what she's doing with her life. \(^∀^)メ(^∀^)ノ

I've done two vlogs for her so far, but from the next one onwards I'm going to do them in broader terms and post them here on the blog.

My next vlog will be showing around my flat at University, so once i've fully moved in i'll film. :--☆--:

I'll be customising things so i'll show you those and perhaps make a few tutorials ^o^

New Layout and Header

So, here's the final layout and header I came up with after a few hours of pondering earlier.

Do you like the header? I thought it was better for a gyaru blog~

I added one of those clocks on the side as well as a flag counter. It's nice to see where my visitors are from ^^

x

Revamp =]

After reading one of Chaudie's posts the other day I realised that my blog needed a bit of a make over. I need better reading material on it, better posts too lol

Over the next few weeks I will change the layout and make a better header, add some widgets and awesome stuff. I kinda like the gyaru clock i've seen about the place, so i might add that in.

My posts will be better! I'm going to do some tutorials and reviews with better detail. I'll probably do a weekly gyaru photo post too~

If there's anything else you think I should be posting more of, or something i should do to the blog then please let me know~ x

Artbox Haul

First off, I want to say sorry for the lack of updates. I know I used to blog atleast once a day and I promise you as soon as I move into Uni, I will be blogging a lot more.

Secondly, here's what I got:

So here I go again buying A LOT of stuff from
Artbox.co.uk , but this time I had a perfectly good excuse. I got stuff for University hehe ^o^ I seem to only be buying things for Uni lately, oh except yesterday cause I ordered a pair of Green circle lenses, which i'll show off once they arrive ^^

Generic postcard with every order that shows you where the actual shop is in London~

Rilakkuma paperclips, they are pink and bear head shapped. Comes in this cute little box.

Flannel / hand towel. You can't see it but underneath the sticker there's a tear. Sad panda lol

STICKERS~~!!! everyone loves stickers. These are all little pandas, the stickers themselves are tiny. I bought them for a daily planner that i'm going to get from Artbox when I have more money lol x

My almost favourite thing ^o^ It's a mouse mat :D :D
A4 plastic envelope, for my notes ^o^ it has cute bows all over it.

And here's the last thing I got, A4 folder. There's yello plastic sleeves inside it. Just enough to hold any coursework etc.

I have a wishlist saved of stuff on the site that I want to get when I have the chance. But apart from the daily planner, I might leave the rest until I get to university.

I've got a couple more posts in the works, but i'm staying at a friends for a couple of days so I wont have my laptop. I'll post when I get back too~ Maybe even a little bit about our adventures over the next couple days hehe

Lack of energy, sorry..

I know i've been lacking in the blogging department recently and I'm sorry. I've actually got a few planned out but I haven't had any energy at all T-T I'm soo sleepy, like all the time. That and I've been getting the last little bits for University sorted out~ I just want to get there now lol

Booked a Travel Lodge for our stay there before I move in. 2 rooms with breakfast = £100. We were actually considering staying at the Hilton. But I was paying... so Yeah.

I've got soo much stuff to organise and pack over these next 3 1/2 weeks. My room looks like a bomb hit it at the moment :/ Got suitcases, boxes, new duvet, new pillows etc. That and I'm just generally untidy lol.

I get paid on Wednesday, where I will order some green circle lenses, maybe some new lashes soon~ I've got soo much to learn when it comes to Gyaru make up. I don't even know how to contour my face T-T and eyeliner goes weird when I do it :/ I'll have to practice.

Here's a ladybug on my Univesity booklets. cute ^o^

Delayed Japan Centre Haul Post

Hey, I'm sorry this took soo long to do, but in all honesty I've had the photos on my laptop for over a month I just forgot about them haha. So here's what I got from the Japan Centre last time I ordered.

I bought my usual favourites Ranzuki and Popteen, but I also love getting Seventeen now and again because they give free gifts almost every month ^o^ For example I got this bag this month.

Here's what else I bought. I needed a cute pair of chopsticks to pop in my handbag. The amount of times I've gone out and bought noodles and had to eat it with a fork >_<>_<>

Java Curry!!!! Just YUMMY!! This ones not soo hot so I love it. I've gone off spicy food a lot recently. Or I guess just food in general lol. Anyways, I'm going to have this curry with some noodles later. yum yum ^o^

Mugi cha, I love this stuff. I tried it in Brighton once and been hooked ever since. It's barley tea which can be drunk hot or cold. I prefer it hot to be honest. It's very nice, i recommend it!

All in all that's what I bought. I need to make a HUGE order before I go to University, just essential J-food stuff, and perhaps a new dictonary, magazines and maybe some new flash cards.

My attempt at Gyaru Make up~

I've never done the whole circle lenses, eyeliner + lashes thing before, so I decided to have a go at it. Being as I've got nothing much to do today and wanted to have a go at it ^o^

What do you think?

I took photos of each step of make, so i might post like a photo tutorial thing if any of you are interested. I actually quite like the last photo lol. First time I've managed to put my hair in a high bun without it falling out. Used my SBYxRanzuki hairband ^o^

Not long now...

I've only got about 4 weeks left at work, and 5 weeks left at home before I move away for University. I'm really excited, but also sad about leaving soo many people behind. I've made good friends on my gap year, loads that'll be at my University. I'll miss my family and the people I work with the most. I've made good friends at work having been there for almost 3 years now, all my overtime meant I saw most people there every day I was in.

Almost got everything sorted. All I need now is the little things, eg Pots and Pans. I have my flat, my move in date and time... makes it all seem soo real all of a sudden. I'm looking forward to the freedom, especially getting more into Gal style. I can weat what I want and do make up in the way I want to without having people judge or ask me why. Plus I'll have more time to learn, and to do my hair etc lol

I want to decorate my room with some Gyaru-ish things. I might have to go to China Town before I leave on Sept 17th. My gloomy bear broke, so I need to get a new one hehe

Anyways, here's a recent picture of me in one of my favourite dresses.

Eyeko is my new favourite make up brand!

[I tried to post this yesterday but blogger decided it wasn't having any of it! lol]
I bought some stuff from Eyeko on the 3rd and my box arrived on the 4th :D Fast delivery. They have loads of offers on at the moment if you spend over a certain amount, go check it out. Click Here
Everything came in a cute box with everything individually packaged ^o^
Here's what I bought:
I've been wanting the Vampira Polish for months. It's black varnish with red glitter in it giving that sparkly goth look. I've heard good things about Eyeko's nail varnish, the quality being really good. I haven't tried them out yet but when I change my nails from the Sweet Shop, I'll definately post some photos of the Vampira Polish on.
The Petite Polish was my free Item because I spent over £10. It's a cute colour and I can't wait to use it with some white patterns on top =]
I use up Mascara REALLY fast so I just had to buy this! I heard about Eyeko through their 'tubed' mascara. I think it was Bubz (Bubzbeauty on youtube) who first introduced me. I think that this different form of packaging is a plus, certainly draws you to it. I've been using it for a few days now and love it! It keeps my eyelashes curled for hours and with just a push of the finger when down, curled for longer. I'm not too keen on the brush cause it's thin, straight and causes it to clump sometimes, but if you have an eyelash brush, or a normal hair comb... that can be fixed easily. It's quite stubborn to get off, but that could be because I don't have a decent make up remover lol.
My unexpected buy was the Eyeko Cream. I don't usually buy things like this, but I wanted to boost up the order to get the free gift lol. It's a face cream which has a shimmer to it. A strong shimmer so it's prob best to mix with some moisturiser. Its good for highlighting, and it has vitamins in it to help your skin. There's more about it on their website haha.
There isn't much on their website at the moment, but I think over time when they become more popular they will start selling more items. Eyeko's becoming popular with some celebrities recently, so you never know. Hopefully it will expand soon. I'm looking forward to getting more stuff from them, I kinda like the look of the eyeliners =]

Picture from Yesterday~

I found a website with a list of stereotypical Asian poses here . I tried some of them out to see what they looked like and ended up with these. Sorry, they are in Black and White cause I used my laptop webcam and the picture isn't too good in colour on it lol Both photos were taken before full make up..... I have a habit of doing that lol. Next time there will be full makeup!

The salut pose.

Crying pose. :D

Sweet Shop nails

Just something simple for the weather. These are the sweet nail stickers that my friend got me from Hong Kong. I spoke about them a few posts back. I added some flowers from the bunch I got from Hong Kong a few years ago :D Im suprised they still stick after all this time.

I bought this nail varnish in London. I like it, it's just a light shimmer of gold. It's from INGLOT, number XL2. Cost me £7 straight from the store. Not too bad of a price to be honest, but a fortune compared to the ones I get from Asda.

Here's my hair for today. I tried tying a neck scarf on my head, but it looks a bit strange on one side because it's flat there. But I'll find a way to make it stick up more. I need to get hold of some ribbon so I can make some bows for my hair. Maybe an oversized one or two.
Ignore my face in the picture lol. I didn't have any makeup on. at all. I'm going to try doing some Gal make with my lenses. Around... 1.30pm ish, cause then my lenses wont get irritating until I get home from work.

The trouble with me and Gal

I'm finding it hard to try and stay Gal, if you know what I mean. It's difficult to get it right in the first place, then there's the whole keeping it going and up to date. With things like work and stuff it's near impossible to do.

Another issue is also weight, I'm not exactly skinny and sometimes it's hard to find cute clothes that suit my figure, I know there are other Gals out there that aren't your typical skinny, and my hat goes off to them cause I just can't seem to keep it up. These girls are an inspiration. I won't deny that I want to be skinny, but in order to work it off i need time... Which i don't have at the moment. I'm working like crazy. Another reason why I can't keep up the Gal style very well.

I've pretty much stopped doing my own nails recently, they just get damaged and chipped as soon as I get to work. I still like to curl my hair for work sometimes, just like i did yesterday. And add bows, usamimis etc. But it's still not quite enough. I need to properly learn how to do some of the Gal make that other gaijin gals do~ I don't wear my circle lenses really, I think thats mainly because i got the black ones because Tokyo Toys didn't have the colour I wanted in stock. But also, my shifts are longer than the recommended wearing time. I'm going to try wearing them at work today, maybe give myself a lil gal makeover so I can learn some make tricks.

Shopping is a problem too~ Well didn't seem like it while I was in London haha. Nevertheless, I have trouble trying to pick the right sort of stuff. I'm not good with coordinating, I used to be but now i've just lost the ability thanks to wearing
the same colour everyday for my uniform at work haha. I need to study a few magazines. Might get the ViVi's out :D

I want to get a straw hat, one of those flat ones that are seen on many gal models. I had a look in London while I was there, but I had no luck in finding one.

I need more inspiration and more drive to boost up my Gal stuff =(
